The Natural Home

We think your indoors should be more naturally like the outdoors.

WORSE THAN OUTSIDE

But Air Purification

is just one piece of the puzzle

As you may have discovered here at Hypoallergenic Air LLC, we're BIG fans of active air purification.  We believe that replicating natural purification processes found outdoors to mitigate ongoing sources of contamination indoors just makes sense.  However, we know that this is just one part of our goal to help you have a more Natural Home.

Instead of using our air purification technologies to remove VOCs produced by cleaning chemicals, we would much rather you reduce or eliminate those sources of VOCs in the first place.  Why fight a mold outbreak when you might be able to prevent it in the first place?  For years we've been asked by our clients about our perspective or recommendation for related solutions.  So we wanted to make it official and bring you some ideas from products we have directly invested in or partnered with over the years.

What products are considered for this Collection?

01

Air quality is more than just purification.  We'll explore other ways to improve your air or address the many unique situations we run into on an almost daily basis.

02

What cleaning tools and chemicals are you introducing into your home?  Let's explore what those are and some easy ways to replace them with even better performance.

03

Test kits and monitors can be valuable to give you actionable data, however they are often overly expensive and far too inaccurate.  We'll give you some of our favorite options.

04

Air is one part of your indoor environment but there are a lot of other factors to consider.  We'll explore some solutions for the other types of indoor "pollution" we hear about in our customers' homes.

What's happening

inside your home?

There has been a big focus on energy efficiency (which is a good thing!) but tightly sealed homes often trap contaminants inside.  Let's find practical ways to make our indoor environment more comfortable, and more natural.  Part of that is educating ourselves, together, and part of that is making better buying decisions.

Clean Tech Natural Home Collection

Does it make your home more natural?

We focused our search on products that (1) solve existing issues that we hear come up a lot with our customers and/or (2) home improvement type solutions that make your home more comfortably natural.

Is it practical to implement?

These products, solutions and ideas are attainable for almost all of our clients.  We're not big fans of the "burn the house down and start over approach" to things like mold.  There are simple things you can do now.

Total Clean: All-Natural and All-Purpose

Zero VOCs.  No Fragrances.  Non Toxic.  Highly Effective.  Our Total Clean Patented Technology doesn’t mask odors, it eliminates them on a molecular level in the air and on any surface type. It completely removes residues from other cleaners, organic matter, stains, and odors. Permanently eliminates even deeply embedded odors. Neutralizes odors produced by bacterial action, and more. We accomplish all this using an iodine-based proprietary formula that is safely used in commercial applications ranging from hospitals to industrial waste treatment. It's important to us that Total Clean not only excels in performance, but it does so using a completely non-toxic and non-VOC formula.

Got Mold?: advanced indoor mold testing

Using the same method as professional inspectors, you can now test the air in 1, 2, or 3 rooms at your convenience — at a fraction of the cost. No need to schedule an appointment or worry about potential conflicts of interest; our service is fast and dependable, providing the peace of mind you deserve. The GOT MOLD? Test Kit includes the reusable BioVac™ Air Sampler which uses a technology known as spore traps, the most widely used professional air sampling method. When air is drawn through the round sampling cassettes, microscopic airborne particles are captured for analysis. Each sample takes just five minutes to collect. Then, using the prepaid return mailer provided, send your samples back to us for analysis. You’ll have your report in less than a week. It’s that easy!

Humidity Solutions

Humidity is super-important to our health, and the health of the spaces in which we live (which in turn affect our health).  But do you know how humidity is measured and how it affects us?  On the high side, too much humidity is also bad.  Excess water vapor in the air contributes to mold growth, more pests (insects and mites), and structural damage due to mold and rot.

Knowledge Resources

01.

Indoor Moisture Inventory
  • An easy first step is to take a moisture inventory of your home
  • When trying to control humidity in your home, it's helpful to have a "checklist" of possible sources of moisture.

02.

What are VOCs?
  • If you've made it this far, you probably already have a rough idea of what a "volatile organic compound" are.
  • These are emitted as colorless, sometimes odorless gasses from things like furniture, paints, cleaning products, copy machines, etc.

03.

Attacking Mold in your HVAC
  • Not everyone has central heat or air conditioning, but if you do, this is an essential part of your home to look at.
  • A first step can be to do some investigation and some basic cleaning.

All about Propane and Natural GasI’ve lived in the city, and I live (now) in the country.  In both places, there was a gas line coming into the house that could be used for gas appliances like my stove, dryer, water heater, furnace, etc.  I, like most people, don’t give the gas or these pipes
